Cooperative Taste of Home presented at Imact Hub

Yesterday at Impact Hub from 19h a discussion „Refugees – the challenges of integration in Croatia and the European context“ was held, moderated by Sanja Ostroški from CEDRA, a network of centers of support for existing and potential entrepreneurs. Besides Lana Velimirović Vukalović from the Government's office for Human Rights, Emina Bužinkić also participated in the discussion, where she critically talked about migrations in Europe today and the responsibility of states in accepting and taking care of refugees. Emina also presented the culinary – language cooperative Taste of Home, that is soon starting with the campaign to collect money for opening a catering service. After the discussion, Taste of Home collective served to the guests a delicious Syrian dinner.

As part of Refugee Week from 14h an artistic – marathon action and concert „On the shores of Jarun: 1800 stones for 1800 missing at the Mediterranean sea“ was held at Jarun, organised by Croatian Law Center, UNHCR and Legal Clinic of the University of Zagreb. The Jesuit Refugee Service organised an audio-visual exhibition „Sanctuary and Support“ from 10-22 at Trg bana Josipa Jelačića.

 

The continuation of the programme arrives today where from 11h in Zagreb's Kuhaona the Taste of Home collective is having a culinary exchange, organised by CMS and UNHCR. The dishes prepared will be presented to the audience together with the Taste of Home exhibition from 19.30 at Showroom of New Gallery. After the party in Showroom, we are moving to Dolac where Gipsy Cool Quartet is having a concert in Potepuh club starting at 22h.
